That Sage Life began as a personal journey—one sparked by new motherhood, a global shutdown, and a deep desire to create something meaningful and true to myself. It was born from a deep need for something of my own—a creative outlet, a way to reconnect with myself, and something that reflected the values I was trying to live by and pass on to my children.
After becoming a mom of two and finding my days filled with caretaking, I realized how much of my identity had shifted. I wanted to create with my hands again, to be intentional, and to build something that made an impact. Then, COVID hit. The world shut down, and suddenly, everything slowed. That quiet space, although challenging, gave me clarity. I leaned into what I knew (and what I wanted to learn more about)—branding, natural living, sustainability, and the power of clean, handmade self-care—and That Sage Life was born.
But I didn’t just want to make soap and salves. I wanted to create a brand that stood for something deeper. That Sage Life is rooted in three guiding pillars:
-
Act Boldly – I build and run this business in a way that reflects who I truly am—not out of fear, pressure, or trend-chasing, but with authenticity and heart.
-
Live Sustainably – From ingredient sourcing to packaging and business decisions, I prioritize what’s best for the planet, our community, and long-term growth.
-
Be a Sage – I strive to be an expert in what I offer—sharing knowledge, standing firmly in my beliefs, and inviting others to live thoughtfully and intentionally.
What started small has grown into a brand carried in local shops, community markets, and the homes of people who share these values. It hasn’t always been easy—especially navigating the flood of new small businesses and trying to stand out—but I’ve stayed true to my mission.
That Sage Life is more than just a bath and body brand. It’s a lifestyle for those who care about what they put on their skin, how they treat the planet, and how they show up in the world. It’s for the bold, the conscious, and the curious—just like the journey that inspired it.
