Welcome back to That Sage Homestead

Welcome back to That Sage Homestead

That Sage Homestead was soft launched in 2025 with the vision of a full efforts in all the things- animals, garden, projects... you name it, that was the intention. Well... as it turns out, homesteading is hard and a lot of work. (Are we really surprised by that though?) So here we are with a refined approach and a plan in the background. I'm excited to bring it back to the forefront of efforts–an extension of That Sage Life that moves deeper into the world of natural living.

The natural extension of That Sage Life

For a long time, the heart behind That Sage Life has been about something simple: returning to what feels natural.

Natural ingredients.
Slow rituals.
Moments of care that reconnect us with ourselves.

What began as a small collection of handcrafted bath and body products grew into something deeper—a reminder that wellness isn’t just about the products we use, but the life we build around them.

And that life has always been rooted in something a little closer to the earth.

That is where That Sage Homestead begins.

Where It All Started

That Sage Life was created from a belief that ingredients in the products we use should be natural and meant for our skin. Each soap, oil, and scrub was crafted with the idea that the small rituals in our day matter.

A quiet moment in the morning.
A warm shower at the end of the day.
The scent of natural ingredients that bring us back to the present.

But behind the scenes, another passion was growing alongside those rituals — a slower way of living that centered around the land, the seasons, and the rhythms of home.

The Natural Path Toward Homesteading

Over time, that pull toward a simpler life became impossible to ignore.

Gardens began to grow.
Animals became part of the landscape.
Flowers, herbs, and vegetables slowly filled the spaces around us.

Homesteading isn’t about perfection or aesthetics. It’s about learning through experience — planting something and seeing what happens, caring for animals, watching the seasons shift, and understanding how deeply connected we are to the natural world.

Some days it looks like harvesting vegetables from the garden. Other days it looks like muddy boots, unfinished projects, and figuring things out as we go.

But every step is part of building a life that feels a little more intentional.

Why That Sage Homestead Exists

That Sage Homestead is the place where the lifestyle behind That Sage Life comes to the surface.

If That Sage Life is about ritual and self-care,
That Sage Homestead is about the life that inspires those rituals.

It’s where herbs are grown that eventually find their way into products. Where slow mornings and outdoor work shape the rhythm of the day. Where wellness is connected not only to what we use, but to how we live.

The two have always belonged together.

What You’ll Find Here

As That Sage Homestead continues to grow, this space will share the everyday moments that make up homestead life.

Things like:

• Growing food and tending seasonal gardens
• Raising chickens and ducks
• Creating spaces for pollinators and flowers
• Simple projects around the homestead
• Using natural ingredients in meaningful ways

Some posts will be practical. Others will simply be reflections on the beauty of living a little closer to nature. Because the truth is, homesteading isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about learning to slow down enough to appreciate the process.

A Life That Feels Rooted

At its core, That Sage Life has always been about reconnecting with what matters. That Sage Homestead is simply another part of that story. A reminder that the most meaningful forms of wellness often begin outside — in the garden, in the sunshine, in the quiet sounds of animals and wind moving through the trees.

A life built slowly.
Intentionally.
Naturally.

And we’re so glad you’re here to be part of it.

🌿 Welcome to That Sage Homestead.
